“I started singing in Sunday schools and transitioned to classical and Gospel music”

ZACUKHO TETSEO, or popularly known as ZT SLINGSHOT is a rapper, songwriter and singing artist who is said to have started singing ever since the Sunday school days. Born on January 26, 1996 in Pfutsero (Nagaland) from the Chakhesang Community rose to fame during the early lockdown period through his Music Video “Nimok Power” that went viral not just among the community itself but the rest of Nagaland.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN:

ZACUKHO says he “met the MYS3 crew from Mysore in the year 2018 and ever since I started rapping and got myself involved in the Music scene.”  In addition, his church, ‘Pfutsero Town Baptist Church’ is said to have played a major role in the journey of his music career  where he has been given platforms to perform in church programmes, gatherings  or church activities.

Awards:

The “Nimok Power” hitmaker has also won several awards out of which the notables he mentioned are:

1. Song of the Year 2020 at the Music Awards Of Nagaland for the song “Nimok Power”
2. Best Gospel Song of the year 2021 at the Music Awards of Nagaland for the song “Believe”ft Wetsote-ü Letro

Looking back to moments in the beginning of his Career:

He reminisces the  time when he performed in an event organized by “Sir” Alobo Naga for the Ebenezer Orphanage Home ‘Coffee with Alobo Naga’ and remarks those as one of the most memorable experiences of his career.

APART FROM MUSIC:

 He is mostly known to engage himself  in sports or physical activities.
