The Red Leather J:  A sensational Content creator from Nagaland

“I am the ‘P’ to the ‘N’ of ProcrastinatioN. I am ambitious and lazy, a wannabe spendthrift and broke, a member of Reel Disaster Management, an uncle without Bolero and someone who sets an  alarm at 5:00 A.M only to turn it off and wake up at “What? Oh No!” O’clock in the morning.” -Akavi

Akavi, who goes by the pseudonym The Red Leather J is a  25 year old humourous content creator on Instagram from the very own Land of Colourful festivals. The young creator’s page is popular for ’10 types of people’ series and has amassed millions of views and likes over the years.

With an impressive followers count at 12.8 thousands, Akavi has cemented his status as an instagram sensation with his sarcastic sense of humour and remarkable wits. One of the most popular reel ever created by him is the relatable ‘10 types of laughter’ meme which has been viewed for a whooping 10.5 million times on the social media platform.

The video titled ‘Naga Hindi’ created by The Red Leather J has also gone viral over media platforms and has garnered tremendous praise from dedicated fans and renowned figures like Ruopfuzhano Whiso and Kuvelu Tetseo themselves  owing to the dramatic yet accurate portrayal of Struggling Naga people trying to speak the country’s Official Language Hindi.

The viral ‘Naga Hindi’ video creator introduces himself as a ‘full-time unemployed B.Ed student teacher’- a teacher in the making and a walking contradiction as he says,

With a heart that wants to create something funny and a head which has all the relatable scenarios embedded deep inside, he started creating videos solely as a random fun activity in the beginning.

Akavi gets the inspiration to create contents mostly from the people and things that revolve around him; specifically from real-life situations, personal experiences and love from the fans. The inspirations are indeed endless for a creative mastermind.

“I note down ideas that would hit my grey matter for the creation of content. It could be from my personal experience, real-life situations, friends, classmates, teachers, strangers or reels on Instagram.

After getting to know that some people actually like my content and that I make someone’s day, I think that is where I get the most inspiration to continue what I first started only as a ‘time pass.”   -Akavi

The content creator begins the creative process by first writing a script if needed and commence shooting right away if a script is not needed. In a digitalized era, smart phone serve its purpose as the greatest tool to create, edit and publish his works online. Akavi further added that it is more convenient and easier for him to shoot and edit from the Instagram app itself.

The 25 year old creator considers himself as an amateur content creator and is still in the wilderness of his quest to have an opinion on what makes a great content creator and how to strive and embody those qualities in his works.

“ To be very honest, I am still in Fast and Furious S1. A newbie. So, I have very less to say about what makes a great content creator. But one thing I’m sure of is, I’m still not sure of what I should do next to keep the ship sailing.

I am but surely focused on continuing to be the way that I am and keep working on creating content that is real, raw and cringey [Laughing emoticon].”

Of all the monumental challenges faced by the digital content creator, ‘Time’ is one factor that he struggles with as he juggles both his academics and bring  ideas for ’10 types of people’ series into action.

To build a community around him and to keep his audience engaged, he tries to reply to the comments he receives, respond to messages [Dms], repost the mentioned reel as much as he can and acknowledge the love and support he receives at all times.

“Over the past few months, I did realize that engagement is very important. Of course, I do not acknowledge my audience’s love and support for engagement’s sake but I do it from my heart because it truly means a lot and I think that’s how I pave the way to building a community of kindness and appreciation.”- Akavi added.

An advice which the sensational creator wishes to give to other aspiring content creators goes,

“Keep doing the things that you like because babe it’s your choice. (In Neha Dhupia’s voice)”

Apart from content creating, Akavi aspires to become a teacher and not gonna lie, we wouldn’t mind our children be taught by such an effervescent personality!

“One: I want to become a teacher.

Two: I want to make a lot of money.

Three: Can I become a teacher and make a lot of money?” – Akavi

One Superpower he would love to possess is

“The power to become filthy rich. Filthy enough to attend international concerts of all the artists that I like.”

And honestly our readers would be pleased to wish you on Dr. Radhakhrishan’s Great day in the near future.

We wish nothing but to see him shower in dollar bills one fine day! Don’t we?
