Niana Sharma is an Anchor of Naga Today. She belongs to Punjabi community. At an early age of 10, she accepted CHRIST as The Saviour and became a counsellor at 17 and spreads her ministry with the outcast people of the society. She completed her education from Nagaland itself on Politics. Niana Sharma was earlier involved into preaching on Instagram from 2017 to 2019 but decided to take a break for a while. Later in 2020 she was offered to speak on the channel NE PLAYSTAR by the Director (Obika Awomi) and that is how it all began. She got positive response the first time she spoke and that motivated her to keep going. She was formerly working as a News Reader in NE PLAYSTAR but she wanted to do more than just the news and very thankfully her brother (Obika Awomi-director) supported her vision and created a different channel for her. The very fact that she can reach so many people at a time and also make people reach out to her from different ethnicity and countries and that indeed is mind blowing experience and an inspiration to the society. She is reminded through this that we are all one in “CHRIST”. Billy Graham influenced her the most. One thing she could change about YouTube or social media is to steer clear of the negative impacts it hold. It is appalling to see the content and the ones exposed to them are children under the age of 8-15 and it’s rather scary to think how they are going to grow up. She believes there should be strict contact monitoring for the viewers especially children just like China. One thing she always keep in mind while preparing a content is ‘The fear of the LORD’ and make sure to never speak in pride or her own understanding or intellect. The best advice she ever received was from her Director- “Just ignore the random comments and stay focused” which motivates her to focus on her journey ahead. She advises her fellow followers that “JESUS is the only way  and everything else is a waste and just like catching the wind, thus, it all comes back to JESUS”.
