I am Aprile Medo (home baker) based in Dimapur (Nagaland).

Lover of cakes, cookies and desserts since childhood. By the time I was 5years old I started experimenting recipes like sandwiches and homemade jams and sell them to my friends and families.

During my high school days collecting food wrappers and buying magazines became my favorite hobby. I used to collect all sorts of biscuits and food wrappers to read the ingredients labeled on the packaging cover. During those days since internet facility was unavailable so I have to rely on magazines and books to learn more about food and recipes.

I started my baking profession in mid 2015. Initially it wasn’t so easy as I didn’t have much support as my parents want me to focus on further studies. With no formal training I have to learn everything by myself from scratch. I learned it the hard way deriving ideas from internet and self experimenting. Cake designing was the most challenging phase of my profession as a baker.

I consider myself a creative and passionate person so the act of baking is a form of myself expression and serve as my creative outlet. I always see Cakes as my Canvas where I can play around with my creativity and paint my ideas. We Bakers just like artist and musicians experience joy when creating something new.

I make sure that each cake is unique and personalized just like each of my clients are unique and special. Made with so much love I believe in quality and not quantity. It’s the happiness, smiles and the memories that are created in people’s life that makes me the happiest.

On my baking journey I am so blessed to meet many wonderful friends who are my biggest supporter till today. Mello bake is my childhood dreams come true. I really thank God for his immense blessings to let me enjoy my work and earn from what I love doing the most.
