About the agency
Gogivers is a Recruitment agency business that helps people find jobs as well as find a workforce for personnel, businesses and companies. Hinoto Chophy is the founder of this agency and was launched in June 2021.
Hinoto started this recruitment agency because of the rise in demand for domestic helpers in places like Dimapur and Kohima. It began in the beginning of 2021 privately from his parents’ house but officially started off in the month of July same year after getting himself registered with Youthnet Incubation Centre.
He was working as a computer instructor in Kiphire prior to this. After much research and analysis of the market and its demand, he came down to Dimapur for good with a goal to start a recruitment agency. Initially, his house was his office, but he was recruited at Youthnet Incubation Centre (YIC) and they provided him with a workspace for one year and various training and guidance under them.
He began the agency by focusing on drop-outs and people from rural areas who see no future. He helps them find jobs like Domestic helper, Driver, sales assistance, child care etc. With the tagline ‘You deserve it‘ they are trying to spread the message that regardless of the qualification everyone deserves to earn and likewise every company or team, too needs a good helping hand. Now they have also started recruiting professional jobs for companies. As of today, they have employed 30-35 people.
For both the client and candidate they do a background check before going any further. They also take into consideration the requirements of both the parties and match the ones that are closest. After the match, they do a face-to-face interview with both the parties present in the office, they can clarify any doubt or question that they may have like salary, nature of work etc. Once both the party agrees and begin to work, the company gives a one-week window for both the client as well as the candidate. In this period they have an option to discontinue for whatever reasons, after that 1 week if everything goes well they sign the company’s policy and terms and conditions. They also have a one-time nominal charge from both parties for their service after the confirmation.
According to him, ‘A good entrepreneur has everything to do with being a good human being first, empathy most important quality, to be very honest. Any good entrepreneur has only one major role to play in his/her venture and i.e. take good care of your team or employees, you take care of that and the rest will be taken care by them in fact much better than by an entrepreneur himself‘. Starting this venture has helped him realize how much potential he has as an individual and as a person because of so many unexpected challenges in his day to day operations which has given him the satisfaction and reason to get up every day and contribute in whatever way he can and end the day with the feeling that he have tried his best is just different feeling and experience overall.
Our uniqueness is in our unbiased nature in recruiting, customer centric. Still overcoming surprising challenges, to name a few like indecisive nature of candidates, unrealistic expectation from both recruiters and job seekers, preference to work only within the state i.e., mostly Dimapur (poor Dimapur is not in a position to recruit all). In the beginning of his venture it was all about trying to understand the demand and supply nature of the market, the psychology behind the job seekers and recruiters and based on all those experiences has shifted his priorities more on technology because the future and scalability is all in technology backed business model. Entrepreneurship has always enticed him ever since he was growing up but didn’t really understood which and how, but looking at the unemployment rate of Nagaland with so many educated as well as less educated with lot of potentials and enthusiasm in the youths only made him step into the Recruitment business so as to create a reliable and convenient platform for both job seekers as well as recruiters.
As of now, they provide their services only in Dimapur but in the future, they plan to go beyond the state as they expand their workforce.
