Vilhousa Movi A.K.A Asa Movi

Vilhousa, an absolute epitome of ‘creativity’ when it comes to fashion, blending ethnicity with modernity. Born on June 30, 1989, Asa comes from Zhavame village under Phek district where he studied at Sacred Heart School, Chizami and spent most of his teenage life in the village.

As a graduated from Polytechnic Kohima College and is currently residing in Dimapur, Nagaland.

The designer recalls being drawn to any kind of handiwork from childhood. His works have been undoubtedly impressive in the prior stage of the career that he has had orders pouring in even before he started pursuing designing seriously.

 Achievements:

Apart from bagging several other winning titles, Asa is most pleased with the title “Best Designer Award in North East” that he has received so far!

Challenges in the career:

Instances like poor marketing in the industry, the elderly being less influenced with regard to the fashion community and rather low percentage from government support are the few amongst many challenges that he would like to highlight.
